Paula Deen Cookware Buying Guide

All of the non-stick pots and pans in the range work extremely well, distributing the heat evenly across the bottom of the pan and cooking your food through.

Due to the aluminum materials of the range, the pans heat up very quickly and don’t take long for food to cook or boil, so you may need to keep it on a lower heat in comparison to your usual/previous pans or just keep returning to watch over your food whilst it cooks.

The lids also feature knobs made from the same high-grade and easy handling material as the handles, so you’ll always be able to safely and comfortably remove the lid from the pan without burning yourself.

One of the most desirable things about the Paula Deen Nonstick range is, of course, the non-stick coating on the pans, allowing a more seamless tidying up experience after you’ve eaten your food.

The pans release food easily even without any oil being used and even works amazingly whilst cooking more difficult foods like eggs or salmon, so there’ll be no more scraping your meal out the bottom of the pan anymore.

They’re easy to clean by hand and won’t require hours of scrubbing, however, food can be prone to escaping from the pan when it has no lid and hiding under the rivets of the handles, so you’ll want to pay closer attention when cleaning those.

There’s a great variety of sizes of pans in this range, with a big double-handled pot for cooking a large chili for all your friends and family, to even a smaller frying pan for making your morning eggs.

The twelve-piece set will also allow you to cook many foods at once without having to wash pans up whilst cooking to then reuse them again for something straight away.

The Paula Deen product description declares that this cookware set is safe to put in the dishwasher but in the safety instructions it then states that they are not dishwasher safe and it voids your warranty.

So this is a bit of a negative, as it can not only misinform the customer but also make them lose out on an exchange/refund by not the fault of their own.

When it comes to most non-stick pans, we wouldn’t recommend repeated dishwasher use as it can destroy the coating in the pans and ruin the most prominent feature of the pan itself.

If you are feeling desperate then a low-temperature setting on the dishwasher will be sufficient, but we do not recommend- plus they shouldn’t take much time to wash up by hand anyway.

The twelve-piece set from Paula Deen is available in four other colors including Gulf Blue Speckle, Deep Sea Blue Speckle, Lavender Speckle, and also Red Speckle, so there’ll hopefully be something to your taste.

Notably, all the handles and lids throughout the range are color-coordinated with the exterior color of the pan, so it comes together cohesively. All of the colors would give a great pop of color to any kitchen without looking tacky or cheap.

This range of pans has great durability and many customers have shared their happy experiences using these pans over several years with no issues.

The speckled porcelain enamel on the exterior is also stain-resistant, so you’ll always have gleaming clean pots and pans for as long as you keep them. The durability will also depend on your daily usage and also how much care you take whilst washing them.

Do not use coarse scrubbing sponges as it’ll remove the non-stick coating and you’ll find your food will begin to stick to your pans.

The range also comes with a useful nylon turner and nylon spoon, which will withstand the heat of up to 400°F and strong enough to stir even the thickest of concoctions you’ve got bubbling away on your stove, whilst also not scratching your pans.

Now.. these utensils are dishwasher safe, so they’ll be once less thing to wash up if you’re feeling lazy!

Overall, we think this Riverbend Nonstick set from Paula Deen is an absolute steal, it totally delivers on being a very affordable price but doesn’t compromise on quality and the aesthetic of the range, making it a great choice if you’re in the market for some great looking pots and pans without breaking the bank.

The Paula Deen Riverbend Nonstick range beats its competitors on price and quality and is a reliable set to use if cooking is a passion of yours or even if you’re just the designated chef in your family.

You’ll also be grabbing yourself a bargain, as the whole set works out cheaper than if you were to buy each item in the set individually.

The range would be a great set for any new homeowners who are looking to purchase their first cookware set or anyone who’s looking to update their current collection of cookware.

Again - please do not put your Paula Deen non-stick pans in the dishwasher!
